About me
Hi, I’m Alina!
My path to an Oxford PhD was far from traditional—and that’s exactly why I believe I can help others navigate theirs. Originally from the EU, I moved to the UK to study Genetics at the University of Sussex, where I earned a 2:1 in my BSc. I then completed an MSc at Imperial College London, but realized I wasn’t quite ready to jump into a PhD.
So, I took some time to gain experience, working as a Research Assistant at King’s College London for 10 months. During that time, I applied to multiple PhD programs. I faced plenty of rejections—but I also learned what works. Through persistence, strategy, and a lot of refining, I eventually received three PhD offers, including one from Oxford University.
I’m living proof that getting into a top university isn’t about having a “perfect” academic record—it’s about having a smart, tailored approach. Now, I help others find that path for themselves. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
